Thanks to a few indecisive ancestors, puffins are colourful creatures, though unkindly called "absurd" and "ridiculous" by some. Their appearance unfairly restricts the average 21st century puffin to careers out of the public eye, usually involving telemarketing. Children's party entertainer or circus clown round out a cliche range of choices. There is a growing 'puffin liberation' movement seeking to distance puffins from such traditional occupations, but it has yet to gain mainstream support from the wider seabird community.
Here we see Jeffrey from the UK. With the assistance of The Puffin Organisation for Opportunity and Liberation (POOL), Jeffrey has been able to realise his dream of becoming a door-to-door fish knife salesman. But puffins still need your help. If you are concerned about equal opportunity rights for puffins, please consider a donation to POOL to cover our vital community education programs. Through your support, POOL can help more young puffins like Jeffrey achieve their dreams.
