Killer to a T
Details: 2006, acrylic on canvas, 20 x 15 cm.
Description: Lazily uncurling its tentacles, the massive killer cell blotted the dim light, now moved into the shadows, now blotted it again as it ebbed and pulsed within the vast torrent of the aorta. Far smaller beings trembled beneath it, fearful of its terrible, phagocytic appetite. Foreigners such as bacteria spontaneously emptied their vacuoles in terror at its passage. The killer could not see them in the strictest sense, but tracked them with ease, selecting victims at will. As soon as some luckless individual thought it had safely passed, the tremendous heartbeat would push them forward together, until it seemed there could be no escape from the beast.
