Description: Feeling the first of the day’s warmth, strange horned reptiles plodded out from their nocturnal burrows and made their slow, lumbering way towards the nearby tussock-topped rocks. As yet, the sun was hidden behind the bulk of an ancient Christian monastery, however the creatures positioned their flanks eastwards, preparing to soak the heat into their large, blood-filled sails as soon as possible. Tiny capillaries underneath the membranous skin of the sail dilated as the sun rose, capturing the light and warming the ectothermic creatures quickly and efficiently. Those who had had enough soon moved off to forage amongst the fallen logs and tangles of shrubbery.
